JOB SUMMARY
The NIBCO Ice and Water Manager is responsible for the overall seasonal operation and management of NIBCO Ice and Water Park. This position provides leadership and supervision to seasonal staff, oversees employee scheduling and timekeeping, and ensures safe, efficient, and customer-focused facility operations. The Manager is responsible for maintaining and enforcing facility policies and safety procedures, overseeing admissions, concessions, skate rentals, cash handling and deposits, inventory, and equipment, and ensuring the facility is clean, organized, and prepared for daily operations. Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as required by facility operations.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and oversee employee schedules, maintain appropriate staffing levels, manage coverage needs, and verify employee hours worked are accurate.
Provide leadership, supervision, training, and direction to Assistant Managers and seasonal staff while ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
Monitor and enforce facility and ice rink safety rules and respond appropriately to accidents, emergencies, patron concerns, and employee issues.
Oversee admissions, concessions, skate rentals, and other daily facility operations to ensure efficient and customer-focused service.
Manage inventory and regularly inspect rental equipment, concession supplies, and facility equipment for safety, condition, and availability.
Oversee cash-handling procedures, verify daily financial records and deposits for accuracy, and ensure bank deposits are properly secured and submitted.
Maintain accurate facility records and clear communication with staff, supervisors, and Parks and Recreation leadership regarding staffing, operations, safety, and facility concerns.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with the planning and execution of ice park events and programs.
Communicate with the Operations Manager about facility issues and concerns.
Work with the Concessions Manager to maintain food and drink inventory at the concessions stand.
Ensure the facility is thoroughly cleaned regularly.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Basic knowledge of ice skating and familiarity with ice rink rules and safety guidelines.
First aid training and certification preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Must possess a demonstrated level of ability and experience in areas of oral and written communication.
Ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
Customer service experience is a plus.
Ability to work with people and calm/deescalate tense situations when necessary.
Must be able to effectively prioritize daily work functions.
Knowledge of or willingness to learn how to sharpen ice skates with a machine.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND VISUAL SKILLS
Must have the ability and history of remaining calm and rational when confronted with stressful or volatile situations.
Must have a positive demeanor when in contact with the public.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work environment is generally performed in indoor and outdoor settings. The NIBCO Ice Park Manager will typically work evening hours and weekends. Occasionally, hours will also be worked during the week for rentals. The park is open from the first week in December to the last week in February, so frequent exposure to cold temperatures should be expected. Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as required by facility operations.
POST OFFER TESTING REQUIRED

Background checks producing acceptable BMV and criminal history reports are required.
