Night Manager

Description

Oversees the hotel operations, including guest relations, front desk, and housekeeping in the absence of the General Manager.

Responsibilities & Job Duties

• Works closely with the General Manager in overall operations of the hotel in their absence.
• Functions as an administrative link between departments.
• Ensures all polices in place are being followed in the absence of the General Manager.
• Interacts with all guests at the hotel, resolves any conflicts and addresses accordingly with staff if needed.
• Conducts site inspections.
• Maximizes revenue by selling all facets of the hotel
• Directs all activities of Housekeeping and Laundry departments in furnishing daily service to guest rooms and public areas.
• Schedules duties, such as heavy cleaning, mattress rotations, etc.
• Prepares work schedules for staff based on projected occupancy.
• Inspects premises, guest rooms, linen rooms, public areas to assure employees maintain superior standards.
• Orders supplies essential to the operations of the hotel.
• Trains employees on service.
• Responds to all guest needs.
• Creates work schedules for all housekeeping and front desk agents.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications – Education, Experience, & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Hotel/ Restaurant Management or Business or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of three years of hotel management or supervisory experience.
• Strong leadership and a professional image.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent decision-making ability and analytical skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
