Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following; others may be assigned:
· Improve work methods and tooling
· Report any safety problems to management
· Follow all environmental, health and safety policies
· Keep work area clean and orderly
· Manage one’s own time efficiently
· Evaluate self work to ensure compliance with work instructions and standards
· Perform advanced operations including assembly, deburr, align, fit and join parts by riveting or gluing efficiently, accurately, safely and on time
· Use drill press, band saw, Goco oven, drimel tool, belt sander, spindle sander, metro oven series 1, metro oven series 2, table router, Techno 3 axis router, Comet forming machine and Thermwood 5 Axis router
· Using hand tools, drills, calipers, heat guns, die grinders, height gages, blind rivet guns, and nutsert installation tools
· Measure completed work pieces to verify conformance to specifications, using micrometers, height gages, calipers, templates, or rulers
· Use work orders, drawings, schematics to determine specifications, such as materials to be used, locations of cutting lines and dimensions and tolerances
· Deburr, trim excess materials from molds, using hand shears or trimming knives
· Smoothly form flat sheets of material on to curved surfaces of molds
· Assign work to other composites technicians as necessary
· Train composites technicians as required
· Clock in and out of bar codes to begin and complete work order
· Read and answer email daily
· Basic Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
· Wearing the proper safety equipment
· Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); related experience and/or training.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: The ability to read, and interpret English documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and reports, drawings and schematics Ability to write and/or type routine correspondence or reports. The ability to perform simple shop math including use of decimals, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in all units of measure. The ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted. The ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions.

Physical Demands: Ability to move molds and parts from 60” shelf to rack of machine. Ability to stand in place to assemble parts with hand tools and power tools. Ability to stand in place to assemble parts with hand tools and power tools. Ability to carry power tools and parts to compete assembly. Ability to move parts from 36” table to 36” tub. Ability to squat or kneel to place parts in tubs and retrieve. Ability to grasp hand tools, power tools and caulking guns and hold grip for 30 seconds. Ability to move fiberglass rolls from floor to 36” table. Ability to stand or sit in place to assemble fiberglass on forms. Ability to carry and roll fiberglass into refrigerator. Ability to move fiberglass forms from 36” table to shelving at 36”. Ability to squat or kneel to pick up fiberglass and forms. Ability to grasps hand tools and power tools to cut and assemble fiberglass on forms.
