NIGHT SHIFT PLANT SUPERINTENDENT

Description

 Reporting to the Plant Manager will lead multiple departments, including extrusion, packaging, quality, shipping, maintenance/engineering and die shop in driving continuous improvement.  

Requirements

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• 10 or more years plant manufacturing management or similar experience.
• Experience in the Aluminum Extrusion Market is required.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics and manuals.
• High level of competency of various extrusion processes
• High level of competency on machine types including Punch Press, CNC, Precision Saws.
• Basic understanding of anodizing and painting.

  TECHNICAL SKILLS/COMPETENCE

• Extensive hands-on expertise in aluminium extrusion and press operations.
• Strong troubleshooting  and root cause analysis skills.
• Proven leadership in managing and mentoring teams.
• Proven experience leading teams across diverse departments, such as packaging, anodizing, and fabrication.
• Experience with automated material handling systems
• Ability to select and recommend new plant equipment.
• Should have high energy level, self-starter, a positive attitude and be able to work without direct supervision.
• A strong team player who works well with others.
• Empathy and confidence will allow the candidate to succeed in this position.
• Good time management and organizational skills are necessary 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Optimize processes and workflows in a highly automated facility, ensuring efficiency and quality standards are met.
• Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to maximize equipment performance.
• Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and teamwork, ensuring a positive work environment.

Essential Physical Functions:

• Ability to work on the production floor with exposure to dust, fumes, odors, loud noise, and varying      temperatures.
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.
• Prolonged periods of standing and working on a computer.

SCHEDULE:

Night Shift hours. 11 p.m. to 8 a.m. 5 days a week alternating day occasionally to work with the crews on weekends.
