Non-Destructive Inspection Technician

Description

1. Read and interpret drawings, specifications and procedures. Plan and perform check-piece, in-process, and final inspection as needed. Prepare, calibrate and use a variety of measuring devices. Serve as technical resource on metrology and quality control. Identify and control non-conforming product.
2. Ensure that Company and customer quality and processing requirements are satisfied. Assist in developing, modifying and documenting good quality control practices and inspection plans.
3. Review documentation and release product for shipment, expediting release as needed.
4. Assist in training other employees in quality and inspection activities.
5. Resolve quality compliance problems with Inspection personnel or other internal departments as needed.

Requirements

Qualifications:

1. Certification in a variety of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods
2. Solid knowledge of manufacturing and machining processes. Experience and/or education in metrology and related inspection/quality control is required. High degree of mechanical aptitude is required.
3. Technical education in Quality Assurance or Engineering and related work experience is desired. Certification in Quality discipline is preferred.
4. Excellent math, language and audit skills. Competent with standard computer software and data analysis (spreadsheet, word processing).
5. Assertive team player capable of identifying problems and implementing solutions. Ability to coordinate multiple activities simultaneously.
6. Good communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of manufacturing and support personnel.
