Job Description - Non-IT Business Analyst II

Our client, a global financial enterprise company, is seeking a Business Analyst to join their team. As a Business Analyst, you will be part of the Global Investment Operations (cash operations) Department supporting the following teams: Banking and Services, Reconciliation Group, and Fund and Trust Operations. The ideal candidate will have project management experience, strong communication skills, and will be a proactive problem-solver which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Type: Contract - 12 months
Location: Owings Mills, MD
Pay Range: $30 - $33 / Per Hour (USD)

What's the Job?
The main function of a Business Analyst is to maintain vendor relationships, acting as a business analyst for non-IT projects or filling organizational roles above an administrative level, but below a management level. Other responsibilities may include maintaining all project management processes, including project goals, deadlines, metrics and budget. The Business Analyst usually reports to a project manager or director.

Job Responsibilities:

Establish and maintain communication services across business units or from the project team to the organization.
Maintain the storage and retrieval of all project communications data and business metrics; Establish and document business processes.
Review contracts, cost proposals and contract supplements.
Set up project and work breakdown structures.
Track project budgets and expenditures, monitor transaction controls and costs against budgets.

What's Needed?
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in business management, economics, finance, human resources or relevant field required.
2-4 years related experience required.
Skills and Competencies: Project Management Experience: Communication with Stakeholders (Including various levels of management
Testing and Documentation
Ability to analyze business trends and project future revenues and expenses
Analyze and make recommendations

Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate progresschangechallengessuccesses and influence when appropriate.

Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods. Ability to apply accounting and mathematical principles to work as needed.
Ability to analyze business trends and project future revenues and expenses.

A self-starter with an organized and detail-oriented focus that is results driven and can work independently (and in the gray) while properly managing one's time. Proactive and Intellectually Curious with effective Problem Solving/Critical Thinking Skills.
Identifies and seeks out opportunities.

Intermediate to Advanced Level Technical Skills with previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to learn new processes or software.
