Job Description - North America Major Correctives Business Operations Leader

Job Description Summary

The North America Major Correctives Business Operations Leader is responsible for the operational backbone of the NAM Major Correctives organization. This role provides leadership and governance across scheduling, customer availability management, invoicing, customer escalations, business analytics, reporting, and operational systems.

The successful candidate will ensure flawless execution of business processes that enable safe, predictable, and profitable delivery of major corrective work across North America. This leader will drive operational rigor, improve visibility into business performance, and serve as the central connection point between field execution teams, project management, customers, finance, and senior leadership.

This role is ideal for a highly analytical and operationally minded leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can translate complex data into actionable business decisions.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

Business Operations Leadership

Lead the NAM Major Correctives Scheduling organization responsible for workforce and project deployment planning.
Establish and maintain operating rhythms, governance processes, and business controls supporting major corrective execution.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives that improve productivity, customer responsiveness, and operational efficiency.
Develop scalable processes supporting business growth and evolving execution models.

Scheduling & Resource Planning

Oversee scheduling teams responsible for technician, contractor, and project resource deployment.
Ensure alignment between customer availability, project readiness, workforce capacity, and execution priorities.
Manage prioritization processes for emergent outages, customer escalations, and critical corrective campaigns.
Develop forecasting models to optimize labor utilization and minimize downtime.

Customer Availability Management

Own customer availability tracking processes across all major corrective programs.
Maintain visibility to future execution windows and customer readiness.
Partner with Project Management and Customer Support teams to maximize execution opportunities.
Identify schedule risks and develop mitigation plans to protect revenue and backlog conversion.

Customer Escalations

Lead the operational response process for customer escalations.
Drive rapid issue resolution through cross-functional coordination.
Establish escalation governance, reporting, and root cause analysis processes.
Provide executive-level updates on critical customer concerns and recovery actions.

Invoicing & Financial Operations

Oversee invoicing processes ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with contractual requirements.
Partner closely with Finance and Project Management teams to improve cash collection performance.
Monitor revenue recognition readiness and identify billing risks.
Drive process improvements that reduce invoice cycle time and improve working capital performance.

Business Analytics & Reporting

Own Major Correctives operational performance reporting.
Develop and maintain executive dashboards, KPI reporting, forecasting tools, and business reviews.
Analyze trends in backlog, utilization, productivity, revenue, customer availability, invoicing, and execution performance.
Deliver actionable insights that support strategic decision making.

Systems & Process Ownership

Serve as business owner for operational systems supporting Major Correctives execution.
Partner with Digital, IT, Finance, and Operations teams to improve system functionality and reporting capabilities.
Lead requirements gathering and implementation of new tools, workflows, and automation opportunities.
Drive standardization and simplification of business processes across the region.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience.
Minimum 7 years of experience in operations, project management, business operations, scheduling, analytics, or related functions.
Demonstrated experience leading teams and driving operational excellence.
Strong analytical and financial acumen.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent analytics tools.
Experience managing cross-functional stakeholders and competing priorities.
Proven ability to influence without direct authority.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience within wind energy, power generation, utilities, construction, field services, or industrial operations.
Experience supporting large-scale corrective maintenance or outage execution programs.
Familiarity with ERP, scheduling, workforce management, and project management systems.
Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience.
Executive-level communication and presentation skills.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $104,200.00 and $173,700.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

 

 

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
