Job Description - Northern California Safety Inspector

Associated Construction and Engineering, inc. and its subsidiaries are the leading manufacturer of new welded and bolted above ground storage tanks in Western USA. We are also a leader in the repair, maintenance, and retrofit welded, bolted, and concrete water tanks in Western USA. This position is responsible for conducting safety & shop/ field inspections in Northern California, Washington, Oregon, Texas and on some occasions other states.


Responsibilities:
- Implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company, local, state, and federal regulations
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses with the VP Of Safety to determine root causes and develop strategies for prevention
- Prepare detailed reports on safety performance, including incident rates, trends, and recommendations for improvement
- Collaborate with management and employees to promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability
- Provide training and education on safety topics as assigned by VP Of Safety, including hazard recognition, emergency response, and personal protective equipment
- Stay up to date on industry best practices and regulatory changes related to workplace safety and continue education as courses are assigned


- Safety Candidate needs experience in Fall Prevention, Scaffolding, Excavation, Trenching/Shoring & Confined Spaces.


- 3-5 + years of experience required



Qualifications:
- Proven experience in safety inspector or a similar role
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct root cause analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams


Physical Demands


- The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. 




Travel - may be required during working hours to various locations. Main position will be held in Hemet, California facility.



Job Type: Full-time This is a full-time position, and general hours of work and days are Monday through Thursday, 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. 



Pay: $78,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
