Position Overview

Security Officers, sometimes referred to as Security Guards, help deter criminal activity, protect property, and enforce rules and regulations at assigned locations.

Some officers monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems from a stationary position, while others conduct patrols and perform security checks. In office buildings, residential communities, and commercial properties, Security Officers help protect property, employees, residents, and visitors by monitoring access points and verifying credentials of vehicles and individuals entering and leaving the premises.

Qualifications

• 
  

  Must be at least 18 years old

  High school diploma or equivalent required

  Valid Florida Class D Security License required

  Strong customer service skills

  Ability to write clear and accurate reports
