NP/PA - Dermatology (24 hours per week) #3459

Reedsburg Area Medical Center is looking for a NP or PA to join our Dermatology Department!

Monday - Friday

24 hours per week

Position Summary:

The Physician Assistant functions within the Physician Assistant scope of practice working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to independently manage and direct patient care which will be comprehensive, safe and efficient.  This individual offers available resources and educational opportunities to patients, support personnel and community members.  They are responsible for assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management, education, health promotion and core coordination for patients.  The PA demonstrates an advanced level of clinical knowledge, communication, interdisciplinary collaboration, professionalism and evidenced-based practice.  They work with administration, nursing, physicians and other staff to assure safe, effective and high quality patient care.

Education and Training Required:

• Graduate from an accredited PA school.


• Current licensure as a PA or NP in Wisconsin.


• BLS certified.


• Board certified PA.


• Meets health requirements.

Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to work in a clinic environment with appropriate technological support.


• Must be able to deal with multiple priorities in a calm manner.


• Requires decision-making, critical thinking and problem solving skills.


• Recognizes legal responsibilities and functions as specified by Wisconsin State law.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequently sit while performing the tasks of the role (scheduling, developing & reviewing protocols/procedures, job descriptions, etc.)


• Carry objects weighing less than 10 pounds.


• Occasionally walk and stand.


• Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds while transferring and positioning patients and maneuvering equipment while using gait belts, transfer devices, etc.


• Occasionally bend to the floor, squat, kneel, crouch and reach overhead to assist with patient care or retrieve equipment or supplies.


• Occasionally handle objects, smell, feel, control knobs, switches and levers.
