Position: NSAH Field Practicum Coordinator
Schedule: Standard schedule is Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m. ET, with flexibility to adjust hours as needed to accommodate supervision sessions, school schedules, student support needs, and program deadlines.
Reporting to: NSAH Volunteer Program Manager
This role supports and enhances RAINN’s efforts to provide high-quality field placement and internship experiences for social work and related students. As a key member of RAINN’s Victim Services team, this position is responsible for coordinating and supervising student placements, ensuring participants receive the guidance and support needed for their professional development.
Working closely with the NSAH Volunteer Program Manager, this role helps update policies related to student engagement, addresses concerns regarding hotline interactions and performance, and ensures adherence to operational policies. The position facilitates supervision sessions, attends site visits, and assists students with meeting their educational requirements and completing necessary documentation.
In addition, this role drafts communications, develops strategies to foster a sense of community among students, and contributes to discussions about program growth. This position plays a critical part in maintaining the quality and effectiveness of RAINN’s student placements, helping prepare the next generation of professionals to support survivors of sexual assault.

Training Commitment:
As a condition of employment, the employee must successfully complete a minimum of 80 hours of comprehensive blended training, designed to ensure competency across both the online and telephone platforms. This training includes but is not limited to:
The initial phase of training culminates in a mock role-play assessment, which is debriefed with RAINN’s Training Team. Successful completion of this assessment is required before moving into supervised practice.
Following the role play, the employee will complete at least two 3-hour clinically supervised sessions on the online hotline, where they will assist users in real time while receiving individualized feedback from a Licensed Training Supervisor.
All training is conducted remotely, and while essential training is generally scheduled during regular shifts, some live or clinical components may require participation outside of your normal hours. Final approval from a Licensed Training Supervisor is required.

RAINN headquarters are based in Washington, DC. This position may be based regionally for someone whose residence is within the continental USA. Although this may be a remote role, it may require some periodic business travel to our DC offices for onsite meetings and training sessions.
