NSBC - Cold Mill Galv Tension Leveler Build Up Utility

Basic Job Functions:

The Galv Line/Tension Leveler Roll Build-Up Utility will be part of the Cold Mill Mechanical Team. The primary job responsibility includes but is not limited to safely tearing down, refurbishing and safe assembly of various rolls in a demanding environment for the Galvanizing Line, Tension Leveler, Pot Equipment and Air Knives. Additionally, the successful candidate will be required to provide support to both operations and maintenance during down time periods. The successful candidate must have the ability to lead the team in improving safety, reliability and managing cost. The successful candidate must be willing to work rotating shift, scheduled and unscheduled overtime including nights, holidays and weekends. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.


• 2 years Industrial maintenance experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 or 4 year mechanical or industrial engineering/technologies.


• Cold Mill Experience.
