*Do you have a passion for Nuclear Medicine and leading a team?* The South Texas VA Health Care System (STVHCS) is seeking a motivated and experienced physician to serve as the *Chief of Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT*.
In this leadership role, you'll wear two hats:
* *Clinical Expertise:* You'll interpret studies, provide patient care, and ensure high-quality diagnostic services.
* *Leadership:* You'll oversee all aspects of Nuclear Medicine at STVHCS, including staff supervision, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

* *Lead the Nuclear Medicine Section:* You'll supervise physicians and technologists, ensuring a smooth-running department.
* *Provide Top-Notch Patient Care:* Your expertise in Nuclear Medicine will be essential for accurate diagnoses and treatment plans for our veterans.
* *Promote Safety and Quality:* You'll be responsible for maintaining a safe radiation environment and ensuring we meet all quality standards.
* *Stay at the Forefront:* You'll have input on equipment and technology to keep our department modern and efficient.
* *Contribute to Education:* You'll play a role in training medical students, residents, and technologists.

*To qualify, you'll need:*
* Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent degree
* Current, full and unrestricted medical license in the U.S.
* Residency training in Nuclear Medicine (preferred)
* Minimum 3 years' experience as a staff radiologist (preferred)
* Leadership experience (preferred)
