The role you’ll contribute:

Under general direction, the Supervisor is responsible for supervising the daily operations of the General Nuclear Medicine (NM), Nuclear Cardiac Medicine (NC), and PET/CT departments on the specified campus and is responsible for the supervision of all technologists working in this environment to ensure quality care is being provided throughout each department. The imaging services will be delivered to both inpatients and outpatient, pediatric and adult. Their focus will be on the production of high quality images throughout the facility while focusing on the patient and their family’s needs throughout their stay in the department. The value you’ll bring to the team:

Ensures equipment has met all quality control requirements and works with a minimum of supervision, utilizing proficiency with camera acquisition and computer processing while evaluating image quality to ensure good technical and diagnostic detail.

Oversees the quality of service provided by the NM, NC and PET/CT team within the Diagnostic Imaging service. Observes and implements departmental and applicable organizational policies, procedures, regulations and information to the NM, NC and PET/CT patient care team.

Provides modality expertise in reference to the NM, NC, PET/CT service, taking the lead role in its requests for equipment maintenance. Ensures the safe and efficient use of all NM, NC and PET/CT equipment, taking action to resolve faults/issues and offering advice to leadership.

Ensures quality improvement programs and competency assessment initiatives are followed by the NM, NC and PET/CT patient care team. Reports on the NM, NC and PET/CT imaging services performance in relation to established goals, implements change to effect continual improvement in services provided, ensures compliance with all internal and external standards as well as regulatory and legal requirements as directed.

Monitors and adjusts staffing on a daily basis to meet labor standard and budgetary requirements. Assists in providing/reporting labor tracking data as needed. Participates in employee orientation/training and annual evaluation process as directed by department manager.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

:

· Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED

:

· Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist – CNMT, OR American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - ARRT (N)

· Current active State of Florida Nuclear Medicine Technologist license

· Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
