Job Description - Nuclear Medicine, Team Lead

Highlights:

Summary: The Nuclear Medicine, Team Lead shall be repsonsbile to perform duties involved with supervising a variety of technical procedures within Nuclear Medicine Imaging. This individual shall apply low doses of radiation for the detection and treatment of pathology. Additionally, the Team Lead will supervise Nuclear Medicine Technologists within the Radiology Services department. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.

Education / Experience: High School diploma or equivalent required. Graduate of a School of Nuclear Medicine Technology or Radiologic Technology required. Minimum 2 years technical experience in Nuclear Medicine.
License / Certification: Current ARRT or CNMT Nuclear Medicine registry required, BLS required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Must possess reasoning ability and good independent judgment.
• Must have the ability to work within rigid time constraints.
• Must remain aware of patient conditions at all times.Work Conditions/Physical Requirements:
Position requires walking 33% of the time; sitting 33% of the time; and standing 33% of the workday.
Must be able to assist and maneuver patients to and from wheelchairs, stretchers, and beds.
There is occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
There is frequent reaching, use of hands and repetitive action.
Requires occasional lifting or carrying up to 25 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds.
There is a continuous need for speaking with clear diction and hearing sensitivity in conversation either by phone or in person.
Continuous visual acuity at close and distant range.
Inside protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Minimal noise levels.
Employee handles radioactive materials, requiring use of appropriate protective equipment and adherence to safety protocol; handles instruments and reagents necessary for performance of Nuclear Medicine procedures; contact with patients requires use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) for biohazard exposure.
Occasional exposure to risk of electrical shock.
Some exposure to infectious disease while performing job-related tasks.
Some exposure to hazardous chemicals.
