Nuclear Medicine/PET/CT Technologist

Keck Medicine of USC Imaging Center is currently seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine/PET/CT Technologist for a Full-time position at our outpatient imaging center located in Pasadena, CA. This multi-modality outpatient imaging center features best-in-class equipment and will be located in a brand-new medical complex opening in August! No call and no weekend shifts! This position is Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm.

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Administrator, the Nuclear Medicine/PET/CT technologist:

· Administers radioactive material to patients for diagnostic, therapeutic or research purposes & operates a positron emission technology (PET) and a computerized tomography scanner (CT) at the request of and for interpretation by a licensed independent practitioner.

· Ensures services are performed in a safe environment in accordance with established guidelines and regulatory requirements.

· Serves as part of the imaging center team and seeks as well as provides feedback for improved clinical practice.

EXPERIENCE:

· 2+ years experience as a Nuclear Medicine/PET/CT Technologist

EDUCATION:

· Must be a graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine program.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Must be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist as an ARRT-N or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board as a CNMT. Must maintain a current valid registration from either ARRT or CNMT. Additionally, must meet the state licensure requirement for the state in which they practice.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

· Skill in operation of PET/CT equipment as well as applicable ancillary equipment.

· Ability to work independently and multitask.

· Ability to provide documentation accurately and concisely.

· Demonstrates understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, radiopharmacology, and medical terminology.
