As a CNC Programmer Level 2/3 located in Iuka, MS, you\u2019ll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one.\n\nOur Iuka, MS site is in search of CNC Programmer Level 2/3 to join our growing team on shift (C) 3/12 schedule working Friday - Sunday from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.\n\nThe CNC Programmer level 2/3 is a specialized professional responsible for converting complex 3D engineering designs into precise numerical code (G-code/M-code) that drives multi-axis machining centers using CAD/CAM software. In the aerospace industry, this role requires working with carbon fiber composite materials and occasional exotic materials (titanium, Inconel, aluminum alloys)\n\nCore Responsibilities\n\n * Program Development: Utilize software such as Mastercam, CATIA, or Siemens NX to create toolpaths for 3-, 4-, and 5-axis milling and mill-turn machines. Designing complete NC programs for complex 3, 4, and 5-axis mills, lathes, and mill-turns using CATIA V5/V6.\n\n * CAD/CAM Integration: Analyze 3D CAD models and blueprints to determine the most efficient machining sequences and work-holding strategies.\n\n * Tooling \u0026 Fixture Design: Design custom fixtures and jigs in CAD to secure aerospace components during the machining process.\n\n * Simulation \u0026 Verification: Conducting machine simulations (e.g., using Veri cut or Completed) to ensure error-free toolpaths before physical production.\n\n * Process Optimization: Continuously refine programs to reduce cycle times, improve tool life, and ensure consistent quality for high-value aerospace parts\n\n * Documentation: Create detailed setup sheets and tool lists to guide machinists through the production process. \n\n * Shop Floor Support: Troubleshooting programming issues during setup, performing \"prove-outs\" on the floor, and mentoring machine operators.\n\n\n\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\nNumerical Control Program Level 2:\n\n * Bachelors degree and 1 year of relevant experience; OR Masters degree with 0 years of experience\n\n * Experience with CAD software (e.g., Siemens NX AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Gibbs CAM).\n\n * Experience with blueprints \u0026 GD\u0026T: Expert ability to interpret complex technical drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD\u0026T) symbols.\n\n * Experience with foundation in Trigonometry and Geometry for calculating complex cutting paths and angles.\n\n * Experience with understanding of G-code, M-code, and post-processing; expertise in machining aerospace composites and alloys (Titanium, Inconel, Aluminum).\n\n * Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Government clearance and Special Program Access (PAR) per company and or business needs.\n\n\n\n\nPrincipal Numerical Control Program Level 3:\n\n * Bachelors degree and 4 year of relevant experience; OR Masters degree with 3 years of experience; OR PhD with 0 years of experience.\n\n * Experience with CAD software (e.g., Siemens NX AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Gibbs CAM).\n\n * Experience with blueprints \u0026 GD\u0026T: Expert ability to interpret complex technical drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD\u0026T) symbols.\n\n * Experience with foundation in Trigonometry and Geometry for calculating complex cutting paths and angles.\n\n * Experience with understanding of G-code, M-code, and post-processing; expertise in machining aerospace composites and alloys (Titanium, Inconel, Aluminum).\n\n * Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Government clearance and Special Program Access (PAR) per company and or business needs.\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\n * Regulatory Compliance: Familiarity with AS9100 standards and export control regulations (ITAR/EAR).\n\n * Associate\u0027s degree in a mechanical or machining related curriculum or 6 years of machining and programming experience\n\n\n\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $68,200.00 - $102,400.00\n\nSecondary Level Salary Range: $84,700.00 - $127,100.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
