Nurse Director - Med Surge

Talent Consultants is in search of an experienced Nurse Director for our Med Surge unit to provide strategic leadership and oversight for nursing operations. This key role involves managing patient care delivery, maintaining high standards of nursing practice, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. The Nurse Director will work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to promote best practices, support staff development, and enhance patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have strong clinical knowledge and proven leadership experience in the medical-surgical nursing field. Responsibilities include budgeting, staffing, performance improvement initiatives, and fostering a positive work environment that encourages professional growth.

• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role in a medical-surgical setting.
• Strong understanding of clinical operations, healthcare regulations, and quality improvement processes.
• Exceptional leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with staff, patients, and families.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and resources efficiently.
• Commitment to staff development and retention initiatives.
• BLS and ACLS certification required; specialty certifications in nursing management or related areas preferred.
