Position Overview:

The Juvenile Justice Intervention Center (JJIC), operated by the City of New Orleans, is a secure detention facility for youth awaiting court proceedings or placement. JJIC provides trauma-informed, developmentally appropriate medical and behavioral health care to residents, many of whom present with complex needs. We are seeking dedicated healthcare and behavioral health professionals to join our on-site team, delivering high-quality care 24/7 in compliance with state, federal, and juvenile justice standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise nursing staff and manage scheduling for 24/7 coverage.
• Oversee sick call processes and ensure proper documentation.
• Manage medication inventory and administration records.
• Train nursing staff on facility policies and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Education: AAS/BS in Nursing.
• License: Active Louisiana RN License
• Experience: 
• Minimum 3 years of clinical and supervisory experience
• Experience in juvenile detention, correctional, or high-acuity settings
  preferred.
• Soft Skills: Crisis management, team leadership, trauma-informed approach
