Job Description

 

 

 We are seeking a Nurse Manager oversee the Critical Care and Telemetry Unit. This Manager will work under the direction and guidance of the department Director. The manager is responsible for the direction and administration of the department(s). In addition, the Manager promotes the provision of compassionate, high quality health services through working with staff, physicians, hospital departments and community agencies.  This job requires employees to demonstrate initial and annual competencies in critical care and telemetry in order to remain in the position. The Manager is responsible for performing other duties as assigned by the Director.

 

 

 

The Nurse Manager will:

                   

-                   Plan, implement and evaluate services that promote positive patient outcomes that result in safe, efficient, quality care/service. 

-                   Ensure that services are provided in accordance with professional practice acts and standards, agency policies and procedures, and applicable, local, state and federal regulations. 

-                   Administer, monitor, and document medications and treatments within the scope of practice. 

-                   Monitor and report expected and adverse reactions to treatments, procedures and medications. 

-                   Collaborate in the development and implementation of the multidisciplinary treatment plan. 

-                   Through documentation and verbal communication, essential information is shared with health care team members. 

-                   Contribute to a positive and professional environment.

 

 

 

 

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

 

-                   Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred or Bachelor of Science (BS) in health-related field. Certification required within six months of hire.

-                   Must have Registered Nurse license from Maryland or Compact State

-                   A minimum of 2-5 years experience in a supervisory/charge nurse role.

-                   Previous healthcare experience

-                   Knowledge of Joint Commission and other regulatory standards
