About the Opportunity

HireNow Staffing is partnering with a community-based hospital in central North Carolina to hire a Nurse Manager to oversee a combination of ICU, Medical-Surgical, and Telemetry units. This is a hands-on, operations-focused leadership role requiring a clinically competent RN leader ready to improve patient care delivery, manage interdisciplinary teams, and drive unit-level performance metrics.

This is not a remote or hybrid role you must be willing and able to lead on the floor and round regularly.

Who We Want (Must-Haves)

Licensed RN in the state of North Carolina (or compact multistate license)
Associate degree in nursing (ADN) required at minimum
Current BLS certification from American Heart Association (must be active within 30 days of hire)
Proven leadership experience in acute care charge nurse, assistant nurse manager, or higher
Familiarity with ICU-level acuity, med-surg workflow, and telemetry monitoring
Demonstrated ability to manage staffing, scheduling, and staff development in a clinical setting

Highly Preferred (Nice-to-Haves)

  • BSN degree or higher

  • Previous Nurse Manager experience in a multi-unit capacity

  • Strong grounding in bedside nursing care and evidence-based practice

  • Proficiency in clinical documentation systems (e.g., Meditech, Epic)

  • Solid track record of collaborating with interdisciplinary teams (pharmacy, PT/OT, case management)

Key Responsibilities

As the Nurse Manager, you will:

  • Oversee daily operations for ICU, med-surg, and telemetry ensuring staffing, safety, and clinical quality standards

  • Support a team of RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and support staff through mentoring, scheduling, and performance evaluation

  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing and CNO to execute departmental goals and system-wide initiatives

  • Champion clinical education and ensure annual competencies are completed on time

  • Monitor and manage unit-based KPIs, including HCAHPS, readmission rates, infection control, and staff retention

  • Facilitate team huddles, debriefs, and incident response when necessary

  • Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and respect upholding the organizations values

  • Assist with budget planning and cost control measures, including PPE, staffing ratios, and overtime management

Why This Role is Different

This is a career-growth opportunity for RNs with leadership ambitions or early manager experience looking to step into multi-unit responsibility. You'll have direct support from senior leadership, clinical educators, and a hospital that values autonomy, patient safety, and strong local impact.

If You're Ready

If you're currently managing or leading clinical teams and are seeking a role where you can directly influence patient care outcomes and staff development, we invite you to apply.

Please do not apply if you do not meet the minimum license, experience, or education criteria. This is not a training opportunity or interim role.
