Nurse Manager - Labor & Delivery

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Manager for our Labor & Delivery department in Florence, AL. This leadership role is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned L&D nurse with strong clinical expertise and management skills to make a meaningful impact on patient care and team performance.

As the Nurse Manager of Labor and Delivery, you will oversee daily operations, support and mentor nursing staff, ensure compliance with hospital protocols, and collaborate with physicians and surgical teams to deliver exceptional, family-centered maternity care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and support the Labor & Delivery nursing team to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Oversee unit operations, staffing, and scheduling to ensure safe and efficient workflows.
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesiologists, and OR staff to maintain seamless L&D processes.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety regulations, and best practices.
• Drive continuous improvement in patient satisfaction, outcomes, and staff engagement.

Qualifications Required:

• 5+ years of hands-on Labor & Delivery (L&D) nursing experience.
• Current NRP, ACLS, BLS, and AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certifications.
• Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a clinical setting.
• Strong knowledge of operating room (OR) processes and L&D protocols.
• Active RN license with no restrictions.

Qualifications Preferred:

• 10+ years of experience in the nursing field.
• Cross-training or experience in additional areas such as ICU.
