Position Overview

As the Surgical Services Nurse Manager, you'll oversee daily operations of our surgical unit while ensuring exceptional patient care and team performance. This role combines clinical leadership with strategic management to drive excellence in surgical services.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 oversight of nursing care and surgical operations
• Lead and mentor OR staff, promoting professional development and team excellence
• Implement and monitor performance improvement initiatives
• Manage unit resources and contribute to financial planning
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements
• Coordinate staff scheduling and resource allocation
• Drive quality metrics and patient satisfaction initiatives

Required Qualifications

• BSN degree required
• Current TX RN License or RN Compact State License
• 2+ years of recent acute care leadership in Surgical Services
• 3-5 years OR nursing experience
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification (or obtainable within 6 months)
• PALS certification (or obtainable within 6 months)

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior management experience
• Cardiovascular surgery experience
• MSN degree
• CNOR certification
