Nurse Practitioner

Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our private medical clinic located on the campus of Waterman Village Senior Living in Mount Dora, FL. This role supports the healthcare needs of residents in the independent living facility as well as the assisted living facilities on campus. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care services to residents in the independent living and assisted living facilities.


• Conduct physical exams, diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, and manage overall patient care.


• Develop and implement individualized care plans in coordination with interdisciplinary teams.


• Prescribe medications and therapies as appropriate, adhering to state laws and facility policies.


• Perform routine health screenings and monitor residents’ health status regularly.


• Educate residents and their families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment plans.


• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.


• Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.


• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff education as needed.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Florida.


• Experience working with senior populations, preferably in independent and assisted living settings.


• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.


• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.


• CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
