Description
Position Summary:
Provides effective, efficient, and appropriate primary care services to EMHD Rural Healthcare Clinics’ patients in the clinic setting to serve the community’s healthcare needs.
Requirements
Job Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program and certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. The employee shall meet the requirements of the Texas Board of Medical Examiners and be licensed to practice medicine without restrictions within the State of Texas.
Personal Job-Related Skills: Strong communicator, articulate, and able to interact with community, providers, payors, patients, families, and employees. Utilizes effective oral and written communication skills. Possesses strong organizational and time management skills, is self-directed, uses critical thinking skills, and provides up to date, evidence-based care.
Licensure, Registry or Certification: Current licensure as a NP to practice in the State of Texas by the State Boards.
· Current DEA certification
· Current Healthcare CPR certification (required)
· Current BLS certification (required)
· Current ACLS certification (preferred)
· Current PALS certification (preferred)
Special Requirements:
Experience: 2 years prior work experience preferred.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, sit, stand, talk, and hear. Bending, stooping, and reaching is required while handling equipment and patients. The lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying some equipment up to 50 pounds or patients up to 150 pounds may be required. Some circumstances may require assistance in moving items or patients.
