Job Overview:

We are currently seeking experienced and compassionate Adult or Family Nurse Practitioners to join our team in correctional healthcare settings across Colorado. This is a unique opportunity to provide meaningful care to underserved populations while working in a collaborative and supportive environment.



Shift: Mon-Thur or Tues-Fri 07:00 - 17:00 (four, 10-Hr shifts or 8-Hr shifts Mon-Fri).

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and create personalized care plans


• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions


• Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, etc.)


• Conduct physical exams and perform minor procedures (e.g., injections, spinal taps)


• Prescribe medications and manage treatment regimens


• Educate patients on disease prevention, wellness, and treatment plans


• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other team members to ensure integrated care


• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records


• Apply case management strategies to support continuity of care


• Stay informed on current clinical guidelines and evidence-based practices

Qualifications:

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Colorado


• Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program


• Minimum 2 years of NP experience (correctional or hospital setting preferred)


• Colorado DEA license with prescriptive authority


• Strong knowledge of clinical coding, billing, and ICD-10 standards


• Proficient in patient assessment, diagnosis, and care planning


• Excellent critical thinking, communication, and decision-making skills


• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-responsibility environment
