Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated, flexible, and independent Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dynamic Neuromedical Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. This is an exciting opportunity to provide high-level care for patients undergoing neurosurgical procedures as well as those with medical neurology conditions. Our hospital serves as a major healthcare provider for Monroe County and surrounding regions in Upstate New York and the Finger Lakes area.

Key Responsibilities

Direct Patient Care:
Perform admission work-ups for neurosurgical and medical neurology patients.
Manage daily patient care, including complex ventilator management.
Perform and manage central and arterial line placements.
Oversee patient transfers and discharges.

Education and Support:
Precept students and support unit-based nurses.
Participate in the education of learners, students, and new employees through clinical learning experiences, knowledge sharing, and skill training.

Certification:
Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) certification or National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) certification.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of critical care NP experience.
Experience in arterial and main line placements.
Neurosurgical or neurology experience is highly preferred.
Skills:
Excellent clinical skills in critical care.
Strong motivation and flexibility.
Ability to work independently.

Pay: $4,663.00 per week
