Job Description - Nurse Practitioner - Outpatient & Urgent Care
We are looking for a dedicated and patient-centered Nurse Practitioner to deliver high-quality outpatient and urgent care services in Monroe, North Carolina. This is a full-time, on-site clinical role focused on accurate diagnosis, preventive healthcare, and responsive treatment planning for diverse patient populations.
The selected Advanced Practice Provider will work in a fast-paced healthcare environment while collaborating with medical professionals to support efficient clinic operations in Monroe, North Carolina. Ideal candidates have experience in urgent care or family practice settings and are passionate about patient-focused medical service delivery.
This role emphasizes clinical judgment, patient education, and continuity of care within an outpatient medical practice serving the community of Monroe, North Carolina.
Key Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including physical examinations and detailed medical history review for both acute and chronic conditions.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on diagnostic results and advanced clinical evaluation.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory work and imaging studies, within professional licensure scope.
Provide medication management, including prescribing treatments according to clinical needs and practice authority.
Collaborate with physicians, medical assistants, and clinical staff to maintain smooth patient flow and high-quality care delivery in Monroe, North Carolina.
Deliver patient and family education on disease prevention, medication compliance, and long-term wellness strategies.
Maintain accurate and compliant documentation using the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
Respond to routine outpatient visits as well as urgent clinical cases.
Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in North Carolina or eligibility for licensure.
National board certification through American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board or American Nurses Credentialing Center in family practice, adult-gerontology, or related specialty.
Experience in urgent care, outpatient clinics, or primary care environments is strongly preferred.
Strong skills in acute patient management, diagnostics, and clinical communication.
Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working effectively within a multidisciplinary medical team.
