Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) with a background in pain management across both inpatient and outpatient settings. The ideal candidate is highly collaborative, patient-focused, and confident in managing complex pain conditions in diverse clinical environments.

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive assessments and manage treatment plans for patients with chronic and acute pain in both inpatient and outpatient environments.
• Provide consults for hospitalized patients requiring pain management, collaborating with hospitalists and specialists.
• Conduct outpatient follow-up visits and interventional pain procedures (as trained/credentialed).
• Prescribe pain medications, including controlled substances, in compliance with DEA and state regulations.
• Educate patients on pain control methods, medication use, and lifestyle modifications.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care, including physical therapy, behavioral health, and specialty referrals.
• Accurately document all patient interactions in the EMR system.
• Collaborates with staff to identify residents' needs and to help develop plan to meet these needs. 
• Follows residents in health center as needed for continuity of care. 
• Serves as a member of committees dealing with health care. 
• May travel to other CLS clinics as needed.

Requirements

• Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the state of Texas.
• Board Certification through ANCC or AANP.
• 1-2 years of experience in pain management, with demonstrated work in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
