Urgent Care for Kids is one of the fastest-growing pediatric urgent care networks in Texas, with 22 clinic locations across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and Houston. We are dedicated to providing high-quality, accessible healthcare for children — and we are equally committed to investing in the providers who make that care possible.
Our Practice Partner Program is a first-of-its-kind opportunity for providers who think like entrepreneurs and want to do more than just punch a clock.
The Practice Partner Program gives qualified providers the opportunity to become quasi-owners of the clinic location where they work. This is not a standard employment arrangement — it is a chance to build something, grow something, and share in the financial success of a clinic you help create.
As a Practice Partner you will:
• Transition from hourly pay to a percentage of the revenue you personally generate
• Earn a share of your clinic’s quarterly profits
• Gain meaningful autonomy over clinic operations, staffing decisions, patient experience, and community outreach
• Be treated as an invested stakeholder — not just an employee
Practice Partners enjoy a competitive, performance-driven compensation model that rewards growth and hard work. Rather than a standard hourly rate, your earnings are tied directly to the success of your clinic — giving you real financial upside as your patient volume and clinic profitability grow.
The compensation structure includes:
• A percentage of the revenue you generate during clinical shifts — the busier you are, the more you earn
• A quarterly profit share based on your clinic’s overall financial performance
• A guaranteed pay floor during your first year to protect your income while you build your patient base
Specific compensation details, including your projected earnings over a 5-year period, will be discussed during the interview process. We believe in full transparency — you will have a clear picture of what to expect before making any commitment.
We provide every Practice Partner candidate with a 5-year earnings projection based on their specific clinic location and current volume. The trajectory typically looks like this:
• Year 1: Break-even or modest growth; foundation building
• Years 2–3: Shift earnings increase as primary care volume grows; profit share accelerates
• Years 4–5: High earners can potentially reduce clinical shifts and sustain significant income from profit sharing alone
This role is best suited for providers who are:
• Entrepreneurially minded — excited by the idea of ownership and shared success
• Community-oriented — willing to attend health fairs, school events, and local outreach to grow their patient base
• Willing to invest time outside of clinical shifts to promote and build their clinic
• Strong leaders who can manage and inspire their clinic staff
• Committed to growing primary care alongside urgent care services
This is NOT a passive income opportunity. The providers who have thrived in this program are those who went in with eyes wide open — understanding that hard work in year one pays dividends for years to come. The providers who have not succeeded were those who expected volume without putting in the effort to build it.
In the state of Texas, only Medical Doctors (MDs) can legally own a medical practice — which means Nurse Practitioners have historically had no path to practice ownership, regardless of their skill, experience, or entrepreneurial drive.
The Practice Partner Program changes that.
For the first time, NPs have the ability to run a clinic as their own, make operational and staffing decisions, build a patient community, and earn directly from the success they create. This is the closest thing to practice ownership available to mid-level providers in Texas today.
Interested candidates are encouraged to reach out for an initial conversation. We will walk you through your specific clinic options, show you a projected earnings model, and answer all your questions before any commitment is made.
Practice Partner spots are offered on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to approval. We want every Practice Partner to be set up for success — so we’ll be honest with you about timelines, volumes, and expectations before you sign on.
