Job Description - Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - Family Medicine

Desert Sage Health Centers is currently recruiting a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant who is self-motivated, energetic, and approaches customer service with a smile! If this sounds like you, then we encourage you to apply!

Responsibilities:

Provides comprehensive primary care through diagnosis, clinical judgment, and management to restore, maintain, and improve health status.
Works in collaboration with other health care providers to provide comprehensive patient care.
Participates as an active member of a multi-disciplinary primary care team to support patient education and health outcomes.
Maintains quality of care in the health center through ongoing education, daily improvement, collaboration with specialty services, and connecting patients to appropriate resources.
Participates in professional and related community organizational meetings and activities.
Participates in staff meetings, conferences, in-service training, and continuing education.
Follows HIPAA, OSHA, corporate compliance policies, and regulations.
Participates in required on-call coverage or after-hours health care services.
Participates in prescription drug control policies and prescribes according to state rules and regulations.
Maintains strict confidence on information gained in the clinical practice of the position.

Qualifications:

Unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in Idaho or ability to obtain an Idaho medical license.
Ability to maintain a valid controlled substance registration with Idaho Board of Pharmacy and DEA.
Sensitivity to the needs of the farm-worker families and other rural individuals.
Sensitivity to the local customs related to health practices and medical care.
