As a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in a Substance Abuse Treatment Facility, you will play a crucial role in assisting individuals on their journey to recovery from substance abuse. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing nursing care, medication management, and support to individuals undergoing substance abuse treatment.

Schedule/Hours/Location:

Total - 4 Open Positions / All positions are 12-hour shifts 

• Sunday through Tuesday - 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (Days)
• Sunday through Tuesday - 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. (Nights)
• Thursday through Saturday - 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (Days)
• Thursday through Saturday - 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. (Nights)

 
Responsibilities:

• Administer nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Conduct health assessments and monitor the physical and mental well-being of clients.
• Administer medications and monitor their effectiveness.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate clients on health promotion, prevention, and treatment options.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
• Provide support and guidance to clients throughout the recovery process.

• Regularly required: to sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms, and talk or   hear.
• Occasionally required: to stand, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch and lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
• Exposure to clients infected with Hepatitis B, HIV, TB, or other Infectious Diseases.

Requirements / Qualifications:

• Valid RN or LPN license issued from State.  
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS)/ Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ First Aid (FA) certification.
• Previous experience in a substance abuse treatment facility is preferred.
• Knowledge of addiction medicine and treatment protocols.
• Strong clinical and assessment skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Minimum of 3 years of lived experience with substance use and/or mental health disorders for self, family member, or loved one, and the ability to appropriately share experience with clients. Someone who views clients’ needs with a high priority and who would be a strong advocate for them with other treatment providers. Someone who espouses a strong desire to help others.
