We are seeking an experienced Nurse Supervisor to lead our nursing team and support our mission of removing barriers to recovery. In this leadership role, you will oversee nursing operations, medication services, patient care compliance, and clinical staff while ensuring the highest standards of quality care for patients on their recovery journey.

What You'll Do
- Provide leadership and oversight for nursing services, admissions, medication administration, and laboratory services
- Supervise nursing staff through regular coaching, support, and performance management
- Develop and manage staffing schedules to ensure appropriate coverage
- Oversee medication inventory, ordering, receiving, and accountability in compliance with DEA and state regulations
- Ensure compliance with the facility's Diversion Control Plan
- Assist with the development and implementation of medication administration policies and procedures
- Administer and dispense medications under physician direction
- Ensure physician and Medical Director treatment plans are properly executed
- Conduct patient assessments and monitor treatment responses
- Administer and interpret Mantoux testing
- Coordinate physician appointments, laboratory work, referrals, and follow-up care
- Train nursing staff on medical procedures, health and safety practices, and proper equipment usage
- Participate in case conferences and interdisciplinary treatment planning
- Maintain accurate nursing documentation and medical records
- Manage medical supply inventory and ensure regulatory compliance
- Educate patients regarding medications, treatment plans, and overall health concerns
- Coordinate referrals for specialized medical services and follow through on patient care plans
- Attend team meetings, required trainings, and continuing education programs
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Required
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment
- Or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) where permitted by state regulations
- Current valid driver's license in good standing and insurable by company carrier
- Ability to travel locally up to 20% as needed
- Minimum two (2) years of experience working with substance use disorders and/or mental health populations
- Minimum three (3) years of nursing leadership, supervision, or management experience
- Experience with emergency triage and medical crisis response
- Strong patient assessment skills
- CPR, First Aid, and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Knowledge of infection control, quality assurance, and healthcare regulatory compliance standards
Virginia-Specific Requirements
- Registered Nurses must have at least one (1) year of experience providing mental health services to adults with serious mental illness OR
- Licensed Practical Nurses must have at least three (3) years of experience providing mental health services to adults with serious mental illness
Preferred
- Five (5) years of experience working with substance use disorders and/or mental health populations, including psychopharmacotherapy experience
