Position Overview
OACAC Head Start is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Head Start team. The Head Start Nurse provides health services to enrolled children, supports families in accessing health care, and helps ensure compliance with Head Start Performance Standards. This position works closely with families, Head Start staff, and community health providers to promote the health and well-being of children.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide health services and support for enrolled Head Start children.
- Collaborate with families, staff, and community health providers to address children's health needs.
- Assist families with accessing appropriate health care and community resources.
- Support health-related program requirements and compliance with Head Start Performance Standards.
- Promote healthy development and positive health outcomes for children and families.
Minimum Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Experience in pediatric or community/public health nursing preferred.
- Knowledge of early childhood development, family dynamics, and health regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with children and families in a healthcare, community health, or early childhood setting.
- Experience working with diverse populations.

Compensation
