Requirements
Requirements of the Nursing Home Administrator:
- Must have a current Maryland Nursing Home Administrators license issued by the Maryland State Board of Examiners of Nursing Home Administrators.
- Must have at least three (3) years of experience as a Nursing Home Administrator in a facility with a minimum of 35 beds.
Responsibilities of the Nursing Home Administrator:
Provide overall leadership and administrative oversight of the nursing home, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and Maryland licensing regulations.
Manage day -to -day facility operations, including staffing, budgeting, admissions, and coordination of resident care services.
Serve as the primary liaison during state surveys, inspections, and audits, ensuring timely corrective actions and ongoing regulatory compliance.
Lead, supervise, and support department heads and staff to promote high -quality, resident -centered care.
Oversee financial performance, census management, and resource allocation to maintain operational efficiency and sustainability.
Address resident and family concerns and drive continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance care outcomes.
