Join the Nursing House Supervisor Team at Gillette! 0.5 FTE; Straight Nights. Hours are 8-hour shifts Monday-Thursday from 11pm -7:30am and 12-hour shifts every 4th weekend 9pm-9:30am on the Nursing Support Team. (Option to pick up RN shifts when not working as the supervisor to work as bedside nurse.)
This position exists to coordinate the delivery of high quality, safe, efficient, and effective care to hospitalized patients and their families. Incumbent in this position serves as a resource to staff members to maximize outcomes and meet the expectations and standards for care. Incumbent role models professional practice and assists others in interpretation and implementation of standards, policies and procedures. Incumbent coordinates resources between departments including outpatient departments as well as external agencies and provides support to problem solve concerns, complaints and/or process or system issues. Specific duties are determined by the work setting or patient population served; however, in all positions, serving patients with challenging and complex conditions requires a concentration of specialized staff able to work in highly coordinated teams. We organize care around each patient’s condition which requires staff at multiple levels and across many departments to exhibit exceptional teamwork qualities including communicating efficiently and effectively and adopting the behaviors required for high functioning integrated teams.
Compensation & Benefits Information
The hourly wage for this opportunity is $47.90 to $71.68, with a median wage of $59.73/hour. Pay is dependent on several factors including relevant work experience, education, certification & licensure, and internal equity. Hourly pay is just one part of the compensation package for employees. Gillette supports career progression and offers a competitive benefits package that includes a retirement savings match, tuition and certification reimbursement, paid time off, and health and wellness benefits for .5 FTE and above. $1.75 weekend/ $2.35 evening/ $4.00 night differential is available for this position.
Core Responsibilities and Duties
Patient Care –– Utilizes leadership principles in mobilizing the patient care team to achieve positive patient outcomes.
Family centered care - Supervises and leads nursing care and health education reflecting specific patient, family, cultural and community needs.
Autonomous Practice – Exercises independent judgment that influences care and demonstrates understanding of potential clinical implications.
Procedures and Policies –Identifies, interprets, and monitors the implementation of organizational policies and procedures according to regulations, professional and community standards.
Active Engagement – Actively represents the department in committees, task forces, unit activities or other work groups and disseminates information and decisions to colleagues and peers. This includes attending a minimum of 75% of department staff meetings.
