Nursing Manager, NICU

Job Title: Nurse Manager – NICU  Level 3  (Day Shift)

Location: Palm Springs, CA

Avant Tech is seeking an experienced NICU Nurse Manager for a full-time leadership role in a Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. This position offers the opportunity to lead a skilled team of nurses and clinicians while ensuring the highest quality of care for newborns requiring advanced medical support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 24/7 operational oversight of NICU clinical care.
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate NICU staff, managers, and resource nurses.
• Ensure compliance with Title 22, TJC, CDPH, and CCS standards.
• Manage scheduling, staffing, and acuity-based assignments.
• Oversee department productivity, budgeting, supplies, and capital equipment.
• Collaborate with NICU Medical Director and leadership on quality initiatives.
• Support staff development, recognition, and performance improvement efforts.
• Serve as a consultant on complex neonatal patient cases.

• Active California RN License (required).

• BSN required (MSN preferred; BSN in progress accepted with completion date).
• 5+ years of NICU nursing experience with 3+ years in NICU leadership (Level 3 NICU experience required).
• Current BLS and NRP certifications (NRP Instructor preferred).
• NCC Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing Certification (RNC-NIC) required or in progress.
• Strong leadership, communication, and regulatory compliance skills.
