Nursing Supervisor - Urgent Position

Leading mental health and substance abuse treatment organization seeks a Nurse Supervisor to manage the clinical support staff, help develop nursing care plans, and participate in the evaluation of nursing care.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day and long-term planning of patient care.
• Hire, onboard, direct, mentor, develop, and schedule staff, including communicating job expectations and providing performance reviews.
• Collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary professional staff to implement patient care.
• Ensure the nursing operational standards by contributing information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; and identifying system improvements.
• Identify patient service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual patients and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.
• Maintain nursing guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures.
• Complete patient care requirements by scheduling and assigning nursing and staff and following up on work results.
• Promote patients' independence by establishing patient care goals, teaching and counseling patients, friends, and family to reinforce their understanding of disease, medications, and self-care skills.

Qualifications:

• Licensed Registered Nurse
• A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
• Charge or supervisory experience preferred
