Nutanix Resident - TS/SCI clearance - MacDill AFB (Tampa, FL)

We are seeking an experienced Nutanix Resident Engineer to provide on-site technical expertise and support at MacDill AFB. The ideal candidate will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for Nutanix infrastructure, providing hands-on system administration, troubleshooting, and mentorship to on-site operations and maintenance (O&M) staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the on-site technical SME for Nutanix infrastructure and virtualization technologies.
• Provide ongoing knowledge transfer and mentorship to customer O&M personnel.
• Support, administer, and troubleshoot Nutanix and VMware ESXi environments.
• Document configuration changes and updates to deployed architectures.
• Prepare and deliver weekly status reports in accordance with established procedures.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure system stability, performance, and scalability.
• Participate in architecture reviews and provide recommendations for improvements or enhancements.

• 7+ years of consulting and/or hands-on systems administration experience.
• Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP) certification required.
• Deep understanding of virtualization technologies with strong Nutanix focus.
• Proficiency with VMware ESXi environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, diagnostics, and performance optimization skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
• Active TS/SCI clearance and U.S. citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Kubernetes, containerization, or AI/ML infrastructure.
• Prior experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) environments.

125-150K (pending experience)
