O&R - Tooling Specialist

Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Tooling Specialist to oversee our company Assets. The Tooling Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and project fulfillment based on daily needs. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and an understanding of Asset Management best practices. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Overall upkeep of the company’s tooling, lifting fixtures, and specialty job boxes.
• Tracking all tooling calibration certs. and any required pull/lift tests on company owned fixtures.
• Maintain and track job boxes specific to tasks. Inventory upon return from field and restock as needed.
• Perform function test of tooling equipment when returned from field.  
• Make or schedule repairs for broken equipment. 
• Create and implement tool and equipment maintenance program. 
• Cleanliness and organization of all tool storage areas in shop.
• Tracking of tooling assigned to trailers and other vehicles (enforce policy to crews coming in).
• Able to operate Forklift / Telehandler (will train and certify).
• Other duties as assigned. 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS / COMPETENCIES:

To perform the essential functions of this position successfully, an individual should be able to demonstrate and provide the following: 

• HS diploma or GED equivalent required. 
• Past warehouse tooling experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook (will train).
• Excellent organizational skills, communications skills, the ability to multi-task, and most importantly, the ability to work well in a team.
• Demonstrated openness to change, flexibility, and adaptability. 
• Self-starter with a drive for continuous improvement of the business operations. 
• Express willingness to step out of the box to assist other teams to meet and overcome challenges for the company.

WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position is largely self-directed and requires understanding of company policy, procedures, and values. Team members will be required to adhere to all safety requirements in all work environments. This position operates in an shop environment.

Specific requirements include:

• Must be capable of lifting 50lbs.
