Job Description - OB Coordinator for busy OB-GYN practice

Performs all obstetric patient benefit verification and precertification of obstetric insurance benefits. Communicates benefits with patient either face to face, over the phone as well as sending estimates in the mail. Collects all OB pre-pay funds prior to 20 weeks. Resolves billing questions and problems with patients and insurance companies. Performs ICD10, HCPCS and/or CPT-4 coding as necessary. Document’s transactions in the EMR system and send e-mail to providers if there are any issues or concerns.
