OB Hospitalist

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated OB Hospitalist to join our dynamic team. Job Description:
We are looking for an OB Hospitalist to provide immediate care and support for patients in labor and delivery, emergency OB situations, and other high-risk obstetrics cases. This role requires clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient safety and quality care. The OB Hospitalist will work closely with obstetricians, nurses, and other hospital staff to ensure the best outcomes for expectant mothers and their babies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide on-site coverage for labor and delivery, including management of unassigned patients.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies and perform necessary interventions.
• Collaborate with attending OB/GYN physicians to manage high-risk pregnancies.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and ensure compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards.
• Attend to deliveries and NICU care
• Assist in educating patients and families about pregnancy, labor, and delivery options.

Qualifications:

• Board-certified or board-eligible OB/GYN.
• Active and unrestricted Medical Doctor (MD) license in New York\
• Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) in New York (NY)
• Strong clinical experience in obstetrics, with expertise in emergency OB care.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
• Flexible schedule and willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Fellowship training in maternal-fetal medicine (optional).
• Experience as an OB Hospitalist or in a similar role.

Schedule and Shift Details
12-14x 12-hour shifts or 6-7x 24-hour shifts, No call shifts
