No. of Beds in Department: 3 labor rooms, 14 postpartum beds
EMR System: MediTech 6.1
Specialty Backup Available: Anesthesiology (24/7), Radiology (24/7), Hospitalist support

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

Required
- Low risk pregnancy
- OB Ultrasounds - Performance of, interpretation
- Routine delivery (Vaginal, Low forceps, Decision -making for c -section)
- Complicated delivery (C -section, Breech, Multiple births, Abruptions, VBAC's)
- Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
- Office/minor gynecology - IUD, Cystoscopy, Colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, etc.
- Surgical gynecology (Open, Laparoscopic diagnostic/minor only - tubal ligation, LOA's, chronal tubation, Operative/major (includes diagnostic) - ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOA's, Laser certification)

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Board: BC required (Certified)
Licenses: Active NC License, NC DEA, NC Medicaid Credential
DEA: NC DEA required
Experience: Actively delivering babies with case logs from past 12 -24 months
Other Qualifications: Fully vaccinated, no recent malpractice cases, and PECOS enrolled

Duties & Responsibilities

Round on patients daily
Perform emergent C -sections and vaginal deliveries
Perform emergent GYN procedures (e.g., ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal)
Manage high -risk deliveries and arrange transfers to higher -level NICU if needed
Provide on -call coverage via cell phone with 20 -minute response time
