Overview
An established women’s healthcare practice in the Chicago suburbs is seeking an experienced OB/GYN Physician to join its growing provider team. This is a long-term, partner-track opportunity for a physician who wants to take a meaningful role in the growth and future direction of a busy women’s health practice.
The practice provides comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care with access to advanced surgical capabilities, on-site diagnostic services, and a strong clinical support team. With patient volume continuing to grow, the incoming physician will become a key provider within the practice while helping create a sustainable call structure and expand patient access.
The Role
The OB/GYN Physician will provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care, including outpatient visits, deliveries, surgical procedures, and management of complex cases.
The physician will join a team currently consisting of OB/GYN physicians, a Nurse Practitioner, and Midwives, supported by Medical Assistants and additional clinical resources.
The practice is specifically seeking an experienced physician with a strong surgical background, including proficiency with robotic surgery. This opportunity also offers a path toward partnership for a physician interested in establishing a long-term future with the practice.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care across outpatient, inpatient, and surgical settings.
- Manage approximately 18–22 patients per clinic day as the patient panel develops.
- Perform gynecologic surgical procedures, including robotic-assisted surgery using the Da Vinci system.
- Manage routine and complex obstetric cases, including high-risk deliveries supported by a Level III NICU.
- Participate in deliveries and hospital-based patient care at an affiliated medical center.
- Participate in the physician call rotation, with the practice working toward a sustainable 1-in-5 call schedule.
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, advanced practice providers, Medical Assistants, and hospital-based specialists.
- Participate in scheduled surgical days, with approximately 8–10 surgical cases on designated surgery days.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation using clinic and hospital EMR systems.
- Provide mentorship opportunities for NP/AP students from affiliated universities as appropriate.
Requirements
- MD or DO with completed OB/GYN residency training.
- Minimum 1 year of post-residency clinical experience required.
- Strong surgical background with experience managing complex gynecologic cases.
- Robotic surgery / Da Vinci experience strongly preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to practice independently.
- Clean malpractice history strongly preferred.
- Experience within the U.S. healthcare system preferred.
- Must hold appropriate authorization to practice and work in the United States.
Salary
Guaranteed Competitive Base Salary: Depending on experience and qualifications.
Location
Chicago, Illinois. The role is primarily Monday–Friday, with potential flexibility for a 4.5-day workweek.
