OBIEE/BIP Developer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled OBIEE/BIP Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) 11.1.1, BI Publisher (BIP), and strong SQL skills. You will be responsible for supporting and enhancing the OBIEE catalog and RPD, designing and maintaining BIP reports, and performing data analysis and mapping to support business reporting needs.

Must live in proximity to Rockville, MD

• Develop and maintain OBIEE dashboards, reports, and RPD models.


• Design, build, and maintain BIP (BI Publisher) reports and templates.


• Support OBIEE catalog and RPD development, including logical and physical layer modeling.


• Work with business analysts and end-users to gather reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions.


• Perform complex data mapping, transformation, and validation using SQL.


• Optimize report performance and troubleshoot issues in OBIEE and BIP environments.


• Ensure data quality and integrity across reporting systems.


• Provide support for OBIEE/BIP deployments, upgrades, and patches.

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with OBIEE (11.1.1 or higher).


• Strong experience with Oracle BI Publisher (BIP) report development.


• Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and transformation.


• Experience with OBIEE RPD modeling and catalog development.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.


• Excellent communication skills for interacting with stakeholders.

• Experience with Oracle databases and PL/SQL.


• Familiarity with OBIEE 12c is a plus.


• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
