REQUIRED PROCEDURES

Required:
- Low risk pregnancy
- High risk pregnancy
- FHR interpretation - NST/CST/FSE
- OB Ultrasounds - Performance of, interpretation
- Level I/Screening (viability)
- Routine delivery (Vaginal, Decision-making for c-section)
- Complicated delivery (C-section, Breech, Multiple births, Abruptions)
- Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
- Office/minor gynecology (IUD, Cystoscopy, Colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, etc.)
- Surgical gynecology (Open, Laparoscopic diagnostic/minor only (tubal ligation, LOA's, chronal tubation), Operative/major (includes diagnostic) (ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOA's))

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Board: Board Eligible (BE)
Licenses: Licensed in NC; NC Medicaid Enrollment required
Certifications: ACLS, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
Fellowship: Preferred

Duties & Responsibilities

Provide call coverage for Obstetrics & Gynecology at assigned hospital location (Haywood or Harris), including 24/7 beeper call with 30-minute response time.
Manage inpatient admissions (average 4 per day), perform hospital rounds, and handle phone consults (0-3 per shift).
Perform required obstetric and gynecologic procedures including routine and complicated deliveries, c-sections, repairs, and minor/major surgical gynecology.
Ensure accurate documentation in McKesson and Athena EMR systems.
Collaborate with hospital support staff (RNs, MAs, CNM) to provide comprehensive patient care and maintain patient safety.
