Responsibilities 

• Conducting nursing care at North Mara Mine Clinic

• Conduct daily patient triage and ensure smooth attendance at the clinic.

• Administering medicines, injections and vaccinations as prescribed by the doctor.

• Assisting in conducting investigations i.e., audiometry, spirometry, and vision screening during medical check-ups.

• Conducting routine inspections of clinic/ ambulance equipment.

• Maintaining employees’ medical records.

• Conducting the return-to-work program following work-related injuries or a period of prolonged ill-health.

• Assessing the work environment for potential health and safety hazard. 

• Delivering a range of health and safety related training programs including Site Induction.

• Participating in meetings, and health promotion activities; and delivery of awareness sessions.

• Implementing health initiatives/programs e.g., PHE scheme, First Aid, HIV/AIDS Workplace program, Malaria etc.

• Keeping up to date with legal and professional changes associated with Public Health and Occupational Health and Safety

Qualification requirements

• Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution, 

Experience and competencies needed.

• 2-3 years, working in a Mining Industry will be an added advantage
