Job Description - Occupational Therapist

Talent Consultants is looking for a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team and provide interdisciplinary care to help patients achieve their highest level of independence and quality of life. In this role, you will assess, plan, and implement individualized treatment programs tailored to each patient’s needs, focusing on improving their ability to perform daily activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patients’ physical, emotional, and environmental needs and capabilities to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Create and implement therapeutic interventions to enhance patients’ functional abilities and promote independence.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Monitor patient progress and adapt treatment plans as necessary based on their evolving needs.
  • Educate patients and their families on the therapeutic process and train them in techniques for improving daily living skills.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation, including evaluations, treatment goals, and progress notes.
  • Stay current with advancements in occupational therapy practices and regulations.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and engage in continuing education as required.
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure or eligibility to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the relevant state.
  • Previous experience in a clinical setting, particularly in rehabilitation, geriatric, or pediatric care, is preferred.
  • Strong assessment and clinical reasoning skills to formulate treatment plans.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and team members.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time efficiently.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
  • Must hold a current CPR/First Aid certification.
  • First Shift Weekdays (Monday Friday)
    • 7:30 am - 4:00 pm
    • 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
    • 8:30 am - 5:00 pm  
  •   First Shift (Tuesday-Saturday)
    • 7:30 am - 4:00 pm
  •  First Shift Weekends (Saturday - Sunday
    • 7:30 am 4:00 pm
  • Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)
  • Retirement Plan (401k, IRA)
  • Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D)
  • 5 year contractual contract then opportunity for hire
