Position Details




  • Position: Full-Time Occupational Therapist (OT)




  • Grade Levels: K–5th Grade




  • Start Date: October 11, 2026




  • End Date: June 2, 2027




  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–3:30 PM




  • Hours: 35 hours per week




  • Setting: Onsite




  • Caseload: Mixed caseload of K–5th grade students




  • Compensation: $60,000–$75,000 annualized salary




About the Role


As a school-based Occupational Therapist, you will provide occupational therapy services to students in grades K–5 with a variety of needs. You will work collaboratively with teachers, special education staff, families, and other related service providers to help students develop the skills they need to access and participate in their educational environment.


Key Responsibilities




  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to K–5th grade students




  • Develop and implement individualized therapy goals and interventions




  • Support students' fine motor, visual-motor, sensory, self-care, and functional skills as appropriate




  • Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support student success in the classroom




  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of student goals




  • Monitor and document student progress




  • Maintain accurate and timely therapy documentation




  • Communicate effectively with families and members of the educational team




  • Collaborate with other related service providers to provide coordinated student support




  • Adapt interventions and strategies based on individual student needs




Qualifications




  • Current Illinois IDFPR Occupational Therapy license




  • Experience working with children or in a school setting is preferred




  • Strong communication and collaboration skills




  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team




  • Passion for supporting students and helping them build independence and confidence




Compensation & Benefits




  • $60,000–$75,000 annualized salary




  • Full-time, 35-hour work week




  • Consistent Monday–Friday daytime schedule




  • School-year position
