Occupational Therapist Assistant

Description

Position Summary: Under general supervision of Registered Occupational Therapist, and according to established treatment plans and specified procedures appropriate for assistant level education, provides treatment and training to occupational therapy patients in order to assist their rehabilitation from physical and psychosocial disability.

Qualifications: Level of knowledge equivalent to that ordinarily acquired through completion of two years of college level training in Occupational Therapy; certification or eligibility for certification by the American Occupational Therapy Association; the analytical ability to recognize and assess patient response to treatment and overall therapy program; interpersonal ability necessary to interact with patients in sensitive, anxiety producing situations; physical ability to lift, position and transport physical impaired patients.

Variable hours/ Weekend and Weekday coverage needed
